Our business has a licence to operate from 10am however we open at 4pm. Potential exists to open at 10am and capture the lunch, coffee/cake demographic. A marble top, refrigerated display cabinet is incorporated into the end of the bar which could display, deli sandwiches and cakes. The addition of a kitchen provides potential for food sales, both for the day trade and the evening trade. The next door premises is identical to our premisses and offers potential to expand as it was originally one unit and is owned by the same landlords. By knocking down the adjoining wall the premises would be double the size. Apply for a late licence. We were given permission to apply for a late licence should we have no problems in our first 12 months. We have a solid reputation and have never had a fight or incident at our premises. We are confident a late licence would be approved. Live music/entertainment on Friday&Saturday evenings. By relaxing the smart dress code on Friday&Saturday evenings you would capture more of the under 30 demographic. Our products are priced above similar types of businesses. Prices could be adjusted to be more competitive. We offer bottled beer only. Tap beer could be installed to appeal to a broader market. If space was made for a dance floor and dance music was played we believe this would attract the under 30's crowd and keep them on the premises longer.
